A RESOLUTION OF THE C I.TY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES,
CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING A PROCEDURE FOR THE
SPECIFICATION OF PREVAILING PER DIEM WAGES IN
PUBLIC WORKS CONTRACTS.'
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES HEREBY
RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 1773.2 of the Labor Code of the
State of California, provides the City Council of the City of
Rancho Palos Verdes with the authority to establish proce-
dures in lieu of specifying the prevailing rate of per diem
wages in calls for bids on public works contracts.
Section 2., The City Council of the City of Rancho
Palos Verdes does hereby adopt the alternative procedure
provided for in Section 1773. 2 and further does adopt the
"prevailing wage rate" attached hereto as Exhibit "A" as
the prevailing wage rate for public works contracts entered
into by the City of Rancho Palos Verdes.
Section 3. The City Clerk is directed to publish
this Resolution and file a certified copy hereof with the
Director of Industrial Relations of the State of California,
and the City Manager is directed to perform any and all
further actions necessary to institute and maintain the
alternative procedure provided for in Labor Code Section
1773.2.
