A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES GRANTING A
CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR THE CONSTRUC-
TION OF A PUBLICLY-OWNED MAINTENANCE AND
STORAGE FACILITY IN A LIMITED COMMERCIAL
ZONE
WHEREAS, Miraleste Recreation and Park District, a publicly
financed special assessment agency, has requested a conditional use
permit to construct a maintenance and storage facility at 29515 South
Miraleste Plaza in a limited commercial district; and
II/ WHEREAS, after notice issued pursuant to the provisions of the
City' s Zoning Ordinance, a hearing was held on January 6, 1976 , at
which time all interested parties were given an opportunity to be
heard and to present evidence; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Advisory Committee has held hearings on
this matter and has recommended its approval, subject to stated condi-
tions,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO PALOS
VERDES DOES HEREBY FIND, DETERMINE, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the proposed construction of a publicly-owned
maintenance and storage facility is permitted in the zone, subject to
the issuance of a conditional use permit.
Section 2. That, given the project' s location, design, and
the uses adjacent to the subject property, which include a liquor
store, a delicatessen and a fire station, granting the conditional use
permit will not adversely affect the peace, health, safety, or general
welfare of the area, nor will it be materially detrimental to property
values, jeopardize, endanger, or otherwise constitute a menace to the
public health, safety or general welfare of persons or properties in
the surrounding area.
Section 3. That the subject property being approximately
five thousand square feet, is adequate in size and shape to accommo-
date the proposed use and the landscaping and other development fea-
tures which might be prescribed in this Resolution.
Section 4. That the subject property, which fronts Miraleste
Plaza, a fully developed street with curbs, gutters, street lights
and street trees , is adequately served by public and private facilities
and by a highway of sufficient width and improvements to carry the kinds
and quantity of traffic the proposed use might generate.
Section 5. For the foregoing reasons , the City Council of the
City of Rancho Palos Verdes hereby grants a conditional use permit
for the use described herein, subject to the conditions contained in
Exhibit "A" , which are necessary to protect the public health, safety,
and general welfare in the area.

EXHIBIT "A"
Conditional Use Permit #11 is approved subject to the following
conditions:
1. Work must be commenced within 180 days of approval.
2. The removed trees must be replaced or relocated.
3. A landscaping plan approved by the Director of Planning
must be implemented prior to the Certificate of Occupancy
being issued.
