A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO
PALOS VERDES, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE TRANSFER OF
CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY COMMONLY DESIGNATED AND
REFERRED TO AS THE"CRENSHAW GATE AREA" TO THE CITY OF
ROLLING HILLS.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. APPROVAL OF TRANSFER OF TERRITORY: The transfer of terri-
tory hereafter described and designated as the "Crenshaw Gate Area" under the
Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939 comprising Government Code
Section 35,300 et seq to the City of Rolling Hills is approved.
Section 2. The property transferred from the City of Rancho Palos Verdes
to the City of Rolling Hills is more particularly described in Exhibit A
attached hereto and made a part hereof by this reference.
Section 3. FILING OF DOCUMENTS TO COMPLETE TRANSFER: The City Clerk is
directed to transmit five certified copies of this Resolution to the Local
Agency Formation Commission of Los Angeles County together with five copies
of the legal description of the boundary change and six copies of the map
showing the boundaries of the area transferred, to be transmitted to the
Secretary of State, the County Assessor, the County Recorder and the State
Board of Equalization, pursuant to Sections 54,900 - 54,902 of the Government
Code of the State of California, and to execute and file an affidavit of
completion with the County Recorder of Los Angeles County pursuant to
Government Code Section 34,080.
Section 4. TAX STATEMENT: The City Council finds that the territory
transferred to the City of Rolling Hills will not be taxed for any bonded
indebtedness or contractual obligation.
Section 5. POSTING: The City Council finds that there is no newspaper of
general circulation published and circulated in the City of Rancho Palos
Verdes, and therefore, within fifteen days after the passage of this Resolu-
tion, the City Clerk shall post this Resolution in three public places desig-
nated by resolution of the City Council, or publish it in a newspaper of
general circulation printed and published in the County and circulated in
the City.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 19th day of May, 1977.

EXHIBIT "A"
Beginning at the intersection of that certain course having a bearing and
length of N 2° 18' 57" W 201.97 feet in the easterly boundary of Lot 11 of
Tract No. 23163 as shown on map filed in Book 632, pages 63 to 66 inclusive
of Maps, in the office of the Recorder of the County of Los Angeles and a
line parallel with and 25 feet northeasterly, measured at right angles, from
that certain course having a bearing and length of N 37° 05' 04" W 229.64
feet in the southwesterly boundary of said lot, said intersection being a
point in the boundary of the City of Rolling Hills as same existed on
October 9, 1975; thence northwesterly along said parallel line a distance
of 93.59 feet; thence southwesterly at right angles from said parallel line
a distance of 25 feet to said last mentioned certain course; thence North
37° 05' 04" West along said last mentioned certain course a distance of
55.64 feet; thence South 52° 54' 56" West 50.00 feet to an angle point in
said boundary of the City of Rolling Hills (in the center line of Crest
Road); thence southeasterly, northeasterly and northerly along said last
mentioned boundary to the point of beginning.
That portion of the common boundary of the City of Rolling Hills and the
City of Rancho Palos Verdes as a result of this relocation, is a line des-
cribed as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of that certain course having a bearing and
length of N 2° 18' 57" W 201.97 feet in the easterly boundary of Lot 11 of
Tract No. 23163 as shown on map filed in Book 632, pages 63 to 66 inclusive
of Maps, in the office of the Recorder of the County of Los Angeles and a
line parallel with and 25 feet northeasterly, measured at right angles, from
that certain course having a bearing and length of N 37° 05' 04" W 229.64

tain course a distance of 55.64 feet; thence South 52° 54' 56" West 50.00
feet to the center line of Crest Road as shown on said map.
