CC RES 1979-084 RESOLUTION NO. 79-84
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
RANCHO PALOS VERDES GRANTING AN EASEMENT ON CER-
TAIN CITY OWNED PROPERTY
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Rancho Palos Verdes has estab-
lished the Hawthorne Boulevard Underground Utility District pursuant to Ordinance
Number 38; and
WHEREAS, certain utility easements are required to complete the work, as
shown and described on Exhibits A and B hereto attached and made a part hereof,
and
WHEREAS, the work has progressed to the City Civic Center property on which
a utility easement is required on certain portions of said property.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Rancho Palos Verdes resolves
that:
1. The City hereby grant the necessary utility easements to the Southern
California Edison Company.
2. The City shall cause a Certified copy of this resolution to be recorded
in the office of the Recorder of the County of Los Angeles.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 6t711 day of November , 1979

Two strips of land, each 6 feet in width, lying within a portion of
Block "H", as shown on map of the Rancho Los Palos Verdes, allotted
to Jothan Bixby, by decree of partition of a portion of said Rancho
in the action "Bixby ET AL VS. Bent ET AL, in Case No. 2373, in the
District Court of the Seventeenth Judicial District of the State of
California, in and for the County of Los Angeles, and entered in Book
4, Page 57 of Judgments in the Superior Court of said County; the
centerlines of said strips being described as follows:.
STRIP NO. 1:
Beginning at a point in the westerly line of Lot 85, Los Angeles
County Assessors Map No. 51, as shown on map recorded in Book 1,
page 1 of Assessors Maps, in the Office of the Recorder of said
County; distant South 10 31' 35" west along said westerly line,
74 feet from the southwesterly line of Hawthorne Boulevard, 100
feet wide as now established; thence northwesterly to a point that
is distant westerly, 25 feet measured at right angles from said
westerly line and distant southwesterly, 30 feet measured at right
angles from said southwesterly line; thence northerly parallel with
said westerly line, a distance of 30 feet.
STRIP NO. 2:
Beginning at a point in said southwesterly line that is distant
northwesterly thereon 295 feet from said westerly line; thence
westerly a distance of 143 feet.

The Grantor agrees for itself, its successors and assigns not to erect, place or maintain, nor to permit the erection,
placement or maintenance of any building, planter boxes,earth fill or other structures except walls and fences on the above
described real property. The Grantee, and its contractors,agents and employees,shall have the right to trim or cut tree roots
as may endanger or interfere with said systems and shall have free access to said systems and every part thereof,at all times,
for the purpose of exercising the rights herein granted;provided,however,that in making any excavation on said property of
the Grantor(s), the Grantee shall make the same in such a manner as will cause the least injury to the surface of the ground
around such excavation,and shall replace the earth so removed by it and restore the surface of the ground to as near the same
condition as it was prior to such excavation as is practicable.
