CC RES 1979-073 RESOLUTION NO. 79-73
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO
PALOS VERDES ADOPTING CERTAIN SALARY INCREASES FOR REGULAR,
FULL-TIME CITY EMPLOYEES FOR FISCAL YEAR 1979-80
WHEREAS, the City of Rancho Palos Verdes desires to implement certain
salary merit increases for regular, full-time City personnel;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES DOES
HEREBY FIND, DETERMINE, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to award a Cost-of-Living
Adjustment of seven percent (7.0%) of the mean monthly salary of all regular
full-time City personnel to be distributed as follows:
O Three and one-half percent (3.5%) to be a flat increase of $51
for all employees.
o Three and one-half percent (3.5%) to be an increase calculated
on each employees salary as of August 31, 1979.
All such adjustments to be effective September 1, 1979.
Section 2. The City Manager is authorized to award merit increases
up to a maximum of six and one-half percent (6.5%) of the regular monthly salary
of regular, full-time Staff and Professional employees. Such increases, if at
all, shall become effective on the employment anniversary date of the employee.
Section 3. The City Manager is authorized to award merit increases up
to a maximum of six and one-half percent (6.5%) of the regular monthly salary of
regular full-time Management City employees. Such increases, if at all, shall
become effective on February 1, 1980.
Section 4. The City Council has reviewed the City Manager's performance
and has decreed that the City Manager shall receive an adjustment of $246 per
month to a gross figure of $3,200 per month. Increase to be allocated as
follows:
o Four percent (4.0%) or $118 as merit.
o Four and one-third percent (4.3%) or $128 as a Cost-of-Living
Adjustment.
Such adjustments to be effective September 1, 1979.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 11th day of September, 1979, by the
following vote of the City Council of the City of Rancho Palos Verdes.
