CC MINS 19751125 ADJ M I N U T E S Rancho Palos Verdes City Council Adjourned Regular Meeting November 25, 1975 The meeting was called to order at 7:45 p.m. at the Palos Verdes Unified School District Building, 30942 Hawthorne Boulevard, notice having been given with affidavit thereto on file. Roll call was answered as follows: PRESENT: Councilmen Gunther Buerk, Ken Dyda, Francis D. Ruth, and Mayor Marilyn Ryan ABSENT: Councilman Robert Ryan Also present were City Manager Leonard G. Wood, City Attorney Pat Coughlan, Planning Director Sharon Hightower, and Administrative Services Officer George Wunderlin. DEVELOPMENT Following discussion, it was moved by Councilman CODE - Adoption Buerk, seconded by Councilman Ruth, and carried (1801) to waive further reading other than title, and adopt ORDINANCE NO. 78 OF THE CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES PROVIDING FOR THE CREATION IN THE CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES OF ZONES AND PRESCRIBING DEVELOPMENT STANDARDS, AREA REQUIREMENTS AND CLASSES OF USES OF BUILDING, STRUCTURES, IMPROVEMENTS AND PREMISES IN SAID SEVERAL ZONES, PROVIDING LOCAL REGULATIONS FOR THE DIVISION AND MAPPING OF LAND, AND AMENDING THE RANCHO PALOS VERDES MUNICIPAL CODE. It was then moved by Councilman Dyda, seconded by Councilman Ruth, to amend the motion to include review of each section of the Code and evaluation of the Code's impact on the residents of the City, and Councilman Buerk asked that the experience of the first four months be used to evaluate the cost and administrative procedures required to administer the Code. The question was called for and passed. The question on the entire motion was called for and passed on the following roll call vote: AYES: Buerk, Dyda, Ruth, M. Ryan NOES: None ABSENT: R. Ryan It was the consensus of the Council that the City Manager include in his objectives a review of the Code administration. FORMATION OF Councilman Buerk reported that there was to NEW COUNTY be a study by six South Bay cities concerning (310) the formation of a new county, and following discussion, it was Council consensus not to expend at the present time, the $1,000 previously allocated for participation in the study.
