Adjourned Regular Meeting
July 22, 1975
The meeting was called to order at 7:41 p.m. at the City Offices, 30940 Hawthorne
Boulevard, having been adjourned to this time and place with Affidavit of Posting
Notice on file. Roll call was answered as follows:
PRESENT: Councilmen Gunther Buerk, Ken Dyda, F. D. Ruth, and Mayor Marilyn Ryan
ABSENT: Councilman Robert Ryan
Also present were City Manager Leonard G. Wood, Planning Director Sharon Hightower,
Administrative Services Officer George Wunderlin, Public Works Director Dennis Pikus,
Community Services Officer Tom Bandy, and City Treasurer Janice DuPar.
SO. BAY CORRIDOR On motion of Councilman Dyda, seconded by
STUDY Councilman Buerk and carried, Councilman
(306 x 1505) Buerk was designated as the voting delegate
to the Steering Committee of the South Bay
Corridor Study and Mayor Ryan designated
as the alternate delegate.
RESIGNATION OF Council accepted with regret the resignation
PAC CHAIRMAN of Eleanore Wiedmann as chairman of the
(1205) Planning Advisory Committee. It was the
consensus of Council to prepare and present
a resolution and plaque in appreciation of
her efforts on the City's behalf. Follow-
ing discussion, Council agreed that the
chairmanship of the Planning Committee
should rotate alphabetically until such
time as a Planning Commission is established.
BUDGET City Manager stated the budget presentation
PRESENTATION would emphasis an overview of each depart-
(602) ment and review of goals. Council discussed
departmental goals for Parks and Recreation,
Public Works, and Sheriff.
ADJOURNMENT At 11:30 p.m. , it was moved, seconded and
carried to adjourn the meeting to July 24,
at 8 p.m. , in the City Offices.
