CC MINS 19790719 ADJ M I N U T E S RANCHO PALOS VERDES CITY COUNCIL REGULAR ADJOURNED MEETING JULY 19, 1979 The meeting was called to order at 7:40 P.M. by Mayor Ann Shaw in the Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District Building, 30942 Hawthorne Boulevard, notice having been given with affidavit thereto on file. Roll call was answered as follows: PRESENT: RYAN, HEIN, DYDA AND MAYOR SHAW LATE ARRIVAL: BUERK @ 9:25 P.M. Also present were City Manager Leonard G. Wood and Director of Public Works Dennis J. Pikus. Traffic Committee members Diestel, Gould, Maguire, and Chairman Mathys were also present. DODY BURKHART Councilman Dyda moved, seconded by Council- woman Hein to send flowers to Dody Burkhart. The motion carried on the following roll call vote: AYES: DYDA, HEIN, RYAN AND MAYOR SHAW NOES: NONE ABSENT: BUERK PLAZA PALOS VERDES Traffic Committee members Mathys and Maguire gave an overview of the Traffic Committee's recommendations on the Plaza Palos Verdes Project. RECESS At 9:00 P.M. Mayor Shaw declared a brief recess. The meeting reconvened at 9:15 P.M. (Councilman Buerk arrived at 9:25 P.M. and was present for the remainder of the meeting. ) Appearing before the Council on this matter were Ernest W. Hahn, the developer of this project and Donald Frischer, Traffic Engineer. Also appearing before the Council were the following residents of the City: Diane Tarazi, 28451 Indian Peak Road, Alma Bergmann, 4035 Stalwart Drive and William E. Grahame, 28716 Cedarbluff Drive. After further discussion of this matter, Councilman Dyda moved, seconded by Councilman Ryan, to continue this matter until the August 7th meeting for a report on operation and maintenance costs on the proposed project. The motion carried unanimously. EXECUTIVE SESSION At 10:30 P.M. Council adjourned to Executive Session for discussion of pending litigation. The motion was made by Councilman Ryan, seconded by Councilwoman Hein and carried. At 10:50 P.M. the meeting reconvened with no action taken. ADJOURNMENT At 10:51 P.M. Councilman Dyda moved, seconded by Councilwoman Hein to adjourn the meeting to August 1st at 9:00 A.M. in City Hall for a meeting with Supervisor Burke. The motion carried unanimously.
