CC MINS 19790410 ADJ MINUTES RANCHO PALOS VERDES CITY COUNCIL ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING APRIL 10, 1979 The meeting was called to order at 9:37 P.M. by Mayor Ken Dyda at the Palos Verdes Unified School District Building, notice having been given with affidavit thereto on file. Following the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag, roll call was answered as follows: PRESENT: RYAN, BUERK, SHAW, HEIN & MAYOR DYDA Also present were City Manager Leonard Wood, Administrative Assistant Trish Hanelin, and Administrative Services Officer George Wunderlin. The City Manager gave a staff analysis of the LAFCO report on the annexation proposals and responded to Council questions. Mayor Dyda discussed the alternatives available to the Council. It was moved by Councilman Buerk to adopt a Resolution protesting the annexation. The motion died for lack of a second. It was moved by Councilman Ryan, and seconded by Councilwoman Shaw to adopt the "compromise" Resolution supporting annexation of all of area "A" and the southern portion of area "B" as set forth in the LAFCO report. The roll call vote on Resolution 79-30 was as follows: AYES: HEIN, RYAN, SHAW, DYDA NOES. BUERK It was moved by Councilman Ryan and seconded by Councilwoman Shaw that the Mayor's testimony at the LAFCO hearing reflect Resolution 79-30. It was moved by Councilwoman Hein, and seconded by Councilman Ryan to amend that motion to include in the Mayor's testimony the two prior Resolutions passed by the Council in their historical context. Both the amendment and the amended motion carried. At 11:30 P.M. , it was moved by Councilman Ryan and seconded by Councilwoman Hein to adjourn. MAYOR LEONARD G.
