EXPERIMENTAL PROGRAM the staff memorandum of January 19,
(1801) 1982 which outlined this program to
allow for placement of real estate
directional signs within the public right-of-way. Staff recommended that Council allow
for placement of these signs subject to certain criteria for a trial period of four months:
(1) All signs are to be no larger than 1 foot x 3 feet. (2) Signs are to be red and white
in color. (3) Signs may be placed between the hours of 1:00 P.M. and 5:00 P.M. on Saturday
and Sunday only. (4) All signs shall be placed within the public right-of-way only. (5)
One sign may be placed per direction with a maximum number of signs not to exceed three
signs per intersection.

signs, how much time will be spent monitoring this program, if the program should be
extended longer than four months, and if other Peninsula cities had a similar program.
