CC MINS 19801028 ADJM I N U T E S RANCHO PALOS VERDES CITY COUNCIL ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING OCTOBER 28, 1980 The meeting was called to order at 8:20 P.M. by Mayor Barbara Hein, notice having been given with affidavit thereto on file. Roll call was answered as follows: PRESENT: RYAN, SHAW, BACHARACH, DYDA & MAYOR HEIN ABSENT : NONE Also present were Acting Manager Sharon W. Hightower and City Attorney Patrick Coughlan, SCHOOL DISTRICT SUBCOMMITTEE Councilman Dyda moved, seconded by REPORT (1401) Councilman Ryan to set a hearing for November 18, 1980 on the potential trade of the Ladera Linda /Portuguese Bend school site for the Loma Del Mar or Vanderlip park sites. The motion carried. Councilman Dyda moved, seconded by Councilman Ryan to direct staff to issue a press release and notice of the meeting to the three homeowners associations, Council of Homeowners and the three locally circulated newspapers. The motion carried. VACANCIES ON THE PARKS & Councilwoman Shaw moved, seconded by RECREATION AND TRAFFIC Councilman Dyda and carried to accept COMMITTEES (106) the resignations of Margaret Stotz and Russell Maguire. Councilwoman Bacharach moved, seconded by Councilwoman Shaw and carried to set December 15th as the deadline for applications and direct staff to make proper notification, notify previous applicants, and add a new second page to the appli- cation form. LETTER FROM MARINELAND Councilwoman Shaw moved, seconded by REGARDING OVERNIGHT PARKING Councilman Dyda and carried to approve (1804) in concept the one night camping for specific groups; staff is to work out the permit details in a non - cumbersome manner. LOCAL COASTAL PROGRAM Councilman Dyda moved, seconded by (801)x(1203) Councilwoman Bacharach and carried that staff report on program of re- sources, steps to address mixed use criteria, and elements of getting sufficient data to begin addressing City -wide Housing Element at meeting of December 16th. Councilman Dyda moved, seconded by Councilwoman Bacharach and carried to direct staff to report on the program to include definition of approach to determine the potential estimated costs and density requirements to have an affordable housing concept. EXECUTIVE SESSION pending litigation. At 10:49 P.M. Councilwoman Shaw moved, seconded by Mayor Hein and carried, to recess to executive session to discuss RECONVENE AND ADJOURNMENT At 10:58 P.M. Council reconvened with no action taken and immediately adjourned to October 30th at 7:30 P.M. on motion of Councilman Dyda, seconded by Councilwoman Bacharach and carried. MAYOR ATTEST: DONALD F.
