PALOS VERDE S DRIVE SOUTH Dr. Perry Ehlig summarized his concern about the
RECONSTRUCTION (1404) run -off occurring on Palos Verdes Drive South

the schedule for such work, and the City's responsibility to make this
installation.

After additional discussion of what the City's responsibilities were in making
these repairs in view of the emergency situation, whether these repairs were
allowed under the contract with the County, and pros and cons of reconstructing
the road versus just installation of this drainage system, Councilwoman
Bacharach moved, seconded by Councilwoman Shaw to install an emergency drain
at a cost not to exceed $40,000 and send a letter to the County urging them to
handle their part of the problem. This letter should cite the Malibu case.
