CC RES 1982-075RESOLUTION NO. 82 -75 JOINT RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES APPROVING AND ACCEPTING NEGOTIATED EXCHANGE OF PROPERTY TAX REVENUES RESULTING FROM THE ESTABLISHMENT OF EL PRADO RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT AS A SUBSIDIARY DISTRICT OF THE CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 99 of the Revenue and Taxation Code, prior to the effective date of any jurisdictional change the governing bodies of all agencies whose service areas or service responsibilities would be altered by such change must determine the amount of property tax revenues to be exchanged between the affected agencies and approve and accept the negotiated exchange of property tax revenues by resolution; but if the affected agency is a special district, the Board of Supervisors must negotiate on behalf of the district; and WHEREAS, El Prado Recreation and Park District lies wholly within the boundaries of the City of Rancho Palos Verdes, and the subject proposal affects only El Prado Recreation and Park District and the City of Rancho Palos Verdes; and WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles, negotiating on behalf of E1 Prado Recreation and Park District, and the City Council of the City of Rancho Palos Verdes have determined that the amount of property tax revenues to be exchanged between their respective agencies as a result of the establishment of El Prado Recreation and Park District as a subsidiary district of the City of Rancho Palos Verdes is as set forth below. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED as follows: 1. The negotiated exchange of property tax revenues between the City of Rancho Palos Verdes and El Prado Recreation and Park District is approved and accepted. 2. For fiscal years commencing on and after July 1, 1984, or after the effective date of this jurisdictional change, whichever is later, all property tax revenues received by El Prado Recreation and Park District attributable to the territory within said District shall be transferred to the City of Rancho Palos Verdes, 3. No other transfer of property tax revenues shall be made from or to any other special district or city as a result of this proposal. The foregoing resolution was adopted by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles and the City Council of the City of Rancho Palos Verdes.
