FINDS and DETERMINES as follows:

RESOLUTION NO. 83 -22
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES VACATING A PORTION OF
PALOS VERDES DRIVE EAST BETWEEN MIRALESTE PLAZA
AND CORSINI PLACE
The City Council of the City of Rancho Palos Verdes hereby RESOLVES,
FINDS and DETERMINES as follows:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Rancho Palos Verdes on
October 5th, 1982, adopted Resolution No. 82 -69 entitled "A RESOLUTION OF THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES DECLARING THEIR INTENTION TO
CONDUCT A PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING ABANDONMENT OF RIGHT OF WAY OF A PORTION OF
PALOS VERDES DRIVE EAST BETWEEN MIRALESTE PLAZA AND CORSINI PLACE," and setting
a time and place for a public hearing thereon.
Section 2. Notices of the proposed street vacation were duly published
and posted in the manner and form and at the time required by Streets and Highways
Code Section 8323.
Section 3. The City Council of the City of Rancho Palos Verdes held
public hearings thereon on November 3, 1982 and on February 15, 1983 at 7:30,
o'clock P.M. in the Council Chambers located at 30942 Hawthorne Boulevard, Rancho
Palos Verdes, California, at which time said council heard all evidence offered
by persons interested in said vacation.
Section 4. The City Council has considered the General Plan of the City
of Rancho Palos Verdes and finds the right of way vacation to be in conformity with
said General Plan, which does not designate Palos Verdes Drive East as having a
150' width.
Section 5. Pursuant to Section 2381 of the Streets and Highways Code of
the State of California, the City Council finds and determines the right of way
hereby vacated is not useful as a nonmotorized transportation facility, due to the
steep grade of the right of way and the adjacent improved right of way.
Section 6. The right of way described in Section 11 was dedicated as a
150- foot -wide easement for street purposes by Tract Map 7145 recorded in 1924.
Subsequently Palos Verdes Drive East (formerly Granvia Miraleste) was constructed
to a 100 -foot width. The portion of the easement hereby vacated was in excess of

access to protect such works from all hazards in, upon and over the right of way
hereby vacated and hereby declares that these proceedings are subject to such

Section 11. The City Council hereby orders that the portion of Palos
Verdes Drive East between Miraleste Plaza and Corsini Place in the City of Rancho
Palos Verdes and described as:
That portion of South Palos Verdes Drive East, in the City of
Rancho Palos Verdes, County of Los Angeles, State of California,
formerly known as Granvia Miraleste, as shown on map of Tract No.
9302, filed in Book 127, pages 53 through 55, of Maps, in the office
of the Recorder of said county, within the following described
boundaries:
Beginning at the most easterly corner of Lot 7, Block 7, Tract
No. 9302, as shown on said map; thence N51 °37'20 "W along that certain
course having a bearing of S51 °37'20 "E in the northeasterly boundary
of said lot a distance of 298.30 feet to that certain curve having a
radius of 330 feet in said northeasterly boundary; thence north-
westerly along aloe said certain curve through a central angle of 20 °50'06"
a distance of 120.00 feet to the most northerly corner of said lot;

having a bearing of S51°37'20"E; thence S51°37'20"E along said parallel
line 310.20 feet to the northeasterly prolongation of that certain
course having a bearing of S51 °45'40 "W in the southeasterly boundary of
said lot; thence S51 °45'40 "W along said northeasterly prolongation 51.40
feet to the point of beginning, shall be and is hereby vacated.
Section 12. The City Clerk shall cause a certified copy of this
resolution, attested by the City Clerk under seal, to be recorded in the office
of the County Recorder of Los Angeles County.
