CC RES 1983-071RESOLUTION NO. 83-71 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES ADOPTING COASTAL SPECIFIC PLAN AMENDMENT NO. 3 TO ALLOW MINOR ADDITIONS IN SU B- REG ION 6 WHEREAS, Coastal Specific Plan Amendment No. 3 is necessary to permit construction of minor additions in Subregion 6; and WHEREAS, The Planning Commission has held a public hearing on this matter on September 13, and September 27, 1983 and has recommended approval in Resolution No. 83 -15 (Planning Commission); and WHEREAS, the City Council has held a public hearing on this matter on October 18, 1983, at which time all interested parties were given an opportunity to be heard and present evidence; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES DOES HEREBY FIND, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: The City Council finds that a Negative Declaration was issued for this Amendment since no significant adverse environmental impacts will result. Section 2: The City Council finds that the Coastal Specific Plan Amendment is consistent with the intent of the General Plan, the Coastal Specific Plan and the Coastal Act. Section 3: The City Council hereby adopts Coastal Specific Plan Amendment No. 3 as set forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto. PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 18th day of October, 1983. L,/( City Clerk, Ci, of Razcho P los aiwii EXHIBIT "A" SUBREGION 6 POLICY 5 Allow the existing units in hazard areas to remain and the land under them to be subdivided but no new structures or additions, except minor additions, to structures shall be permitted, except that an existing structure which is damaged may be restored on the same foundation, provided the owner files a non -suit covenant with the City relieving the City of responsibility related to whatever hazard may exist, and said restoration will not aggravate the current condition.
