CC MINS 20130416 ADJMINUTES ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING/ GROUNDBREAKING CEREMONY FOR THE SAN RAMON CANYON STORM DRAIN PROJECT RANCHO PALOS VERDES CITY COUNCIL APRIL 16, 2013 The meeting was called to order at 5:01 P.M. by Mayor Brooks adjacent to the roadway east of the lower switchback on Palos Verdes Drive East near San Ramon Canyon. City Council roll call was answered as follows: PRESENT: Campbell, Duhovic, Knight, Misetich, and Mayor Brooks ABSENT: None Also present were Carolynn Lehr, City Manager; Joel Rojas, Community Development Director; Ron Dragoo, Senior Engineer; Alan Braatvedt, San Ramon Canyon Project Manager; Nicole Jules, Senior Engineer; Andy Winje, Associate Engineer; Emilio Blanco, Maintenance Superintendent; Lauren Ramezani, Senior Administrative Analyst; Siamak Motahari, Senior Engineer; Eduardo Schonborn, Senior Planner; Mona Dill, Recreation Program Supervisor II; David Arreaga, Lead Worker; Bruno Banuelos, Maintenance Worker II; and, Carla Morreale, City Clerk. APPROVAL OF AGENDA: Mayor Brooks suggested that Public Comments (for items not on the agenda) be placed after the Groundbreaking Ceremony. Councilman Knight moved, seconded by Mayor Pro Tern Duhovic, to approve the agenda, as amended. Without objection, the agenda was approved, as amended. REGULAR NEW BUSINESS: Groundbreaking Ceremony for San Ramon Canyon Storm Drain Project City Council, staff, and members of the public met at the project staging location, just east of the lower switchback on Palos Verdes Drive East near San Ramon Canyon to conduct a groundbreaking ceremony for the San Ramon Canyon Storm Drain Project. Mayor Brooks and the Council Members acknowledged the many hours of staff time dedicated to the design and approval of the San Ramon Canyon Storm Drain Project, and extended congratulations to Senior Engineer Dragoo, Project Manager Braatvedt, City Council Minutes Adjourned Regular Meeting/ Groundbreaking Ceremony April 16, 2013 Page 1 of 2 Public Works Department Staff, and the many City staff members involved in bringing this project along from a concept to a reality. Mayor Brooks and the Council Members participated in the groundbreaking ceremony to commemorate the official beginning of construction of the San Ramon Canyon Storm Drain Project. PUBLIC COMMENTS: (Audience Comments regarding Items Not on the Agenda) None. Adjournment: At 5:21 P.M., Mayor Brooks adjourned the meeting to 6:00 P.M. at Fred Hesse Community Park in the Fireside Room for a Closed Session, to be followed by a Study Session and Regular Council Meeting in the Multipurpose Room.
