CC MINS 19850110 ADJMINUTES RANCHO PALOS VERDES CITY COUNCIL ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING/BUSINESS COMMUNITY BREAKFAST µ JANUARY 10, 1985 t The meeting was called, to order at 8:00 A.M., at the Catalina Room, Marineland, by Mayor McTaggart, notice having been given with affidavit thereto on file* PRESENT: HINCHLIFFE, HUGHES, BACHARACH, AND MAYOR McTAGGART ABSENT: RYAN Also present were City Manager Donald F. Guluzzy, Director of En- vironmental Services Sharon Hightower, Public Works Superintendent Charles Abbott, Director of Public Works Gordon Siebert, Community Services Director Tom Bandy, Finance Director Greg Beaubien, City Clerk Jo Purcell, and Roy Jorgensen representative Rodney Roberts. Mayor McTaggart welcomed all in attendance at the meeting. Self introduction then followed. An informal discussion ensued on the following items: Councilman Hinchliffe summarized the status of the Redevelopment Agency and the next steps to be taken by that Agency. Councilman Hughes reviewed the condition of the slide and the rebuilding of Palos Verdes Drive South, the future plans for dewatering and some other mechanisms being considered for stabilization of the area. Councilwoman Bacharach commented on the Peninsula Transit System, its financing and usage. In response to Council's inquiry, the Edison Company representative said his company is awaiting approval of an easement to install power lines to one of the dewatering wells. Mayor McTaggart commented on the proposed location for the U. S. Post Office and said that a Council Ad Hoc Committee would be meeting with Post Office representatives and the developers to discuss this project. # 7 01Y---A2 ADJOURNMENT At 8:35 A.M. the meeting adjourned on motion of Councilwoman Bacharach to January 14th, at 7:30 P.M. z 00*7 Mayor ATTEST COUNCIL 2 1/10/85 # 7 01Y----A3
