CC RES 1984-066RESOLUTION N0, 84 -66 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES DENYING THE APPEAL TO TENTATIVE PARCEL MAP N0. 8666 (REVISED) WHEREAS, Tentative Parcel Map No. 8666 (Revised) has been filed, which would allow for the division of a 156,380 square foot site into three (3) parcels,.each exceeding 20,000 square feet; and WHEREAS, Tentative Parcel Map No. 8666 (Revised) is located on the west side of Palos Verdes Drive East, approximately 700 feet south of Miraleste Drive; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission denied Tentative Parcel Map 8666 (Revised) on June 12, 1984 at which time a public hearing was held and all interested parties were given an opportunity to be heard and present evidence; and WHEREAS, the applicant appealed the Planning Commission °s decision to the City Council and a hearing was held on October 16, 1984 at which time all interested parties were given an opportunity to be heard and present evidence. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES DOES RESOLVE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: That the site is not physically suitable to accommodate three (3) lots in terms of the proposed lot configuration and potential uses, because lot 2 has slopes which preclude it from being a buildable lot. Section 2: That Tentative Parcel Map 8666 (Revised) specifically Lot 2, is inconsistent with the City °s General Plan because slopes of 35% or more fall under the RM2- extreme slope category of the General Plan which recommends only non - structured uses (i.e. parks, trails, etc.) on such slopes. Section 3: For the foregoing reasons, the City Council of the City of Rancho Palos Verdes hereby denies Tentative Parcel Map No. 8666 (Revised). PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this November 7, 1984.
