CC RES 1985-015RESOLUTION N0, 85 -15 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES DENYING GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT NO. 15 AND ZONE CHANGE N0, 14 WHEREAS, Leon and Ingrid Zamfirescu have made application requesting a General Plan Amendment to change the land use designation from 1 -2 dwelling: units per acre to 2 -4 dwelling units per acre and change the zoning from RS -2 to RS -4 for property located at 5702 Crest Road; and WHEREAS, after a public hearing was held by the Planning Commission on January 15, 1985, at which time all interested parties were given an opportunity to be heard and present evidence; the Planning Commission recommended denial of said amendments; and WHEREAS, this recommendation was appealed and subsequently a public hearing was held by the City Council on March 5, 1985, at which time all interested parties were given an opportunity to be heard and present evidence; NOW, THEREFORE , THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES DOES RESOLVE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS; Section 1: That the proposed General Plan Amendment and Zone Change would not be consistent with the existing General Plan and zoning designations nor with the density of the surrounding property (Tract 38848) south of Crest Road. Section 2: That the proposed Zone Change would create an inconsistency in the existing zoning boundary. Section 3: That the proposed General Plan Amendment and Zone Change could have several significant environmental impacts involving traffic cir- culation, parking and density. Section 4: For the foregoing reason, the City Council of the City of Rancho Palos Verdes hereby denies General Plan Amendment No. 15 and Zone Change No. 14.
