A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES APPROVING
VARIANCE N0. 118
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Schlegel have requested a Variance to
allow an existing converted garage to remain at 26822 Fond du Lac Drive,
Rancho Palos Verdes, and;
WHEREAS, after notice pursuant to the City's Development Code, a
Public Hearing was held on August 20, 1985 at which time all interested
parties were given an opportunity to be heard and present evidence.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO PALOS
VE RDE S DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: That an administrative oversight occurred in the en-
forcement or administration of the Development Code as it relates to this
application.
Section 2: For the foregoing reason, the City Council of the City
of Rancho Palos Verdes hereby approved Variance No. 118 subject to the
following conditions.
A. Two enclosed garage spaces which meet City Standards must be
provided on the lot if the existing living space is expanded
in any way that requires a building permit. A covenant bind-
ing the present owners or their successors or assigns of the
subject property to this condition must be prepared by the
property owner and recorded upon approval by the City.
B. The use of the converted garage as a second dwelling unit is
prohibited. A covenant binding the present and future owners
or assignees, must be prepared by the property owner and re-
corded upon approval by the City.
