CC RES 1987-001RESOLUTION N0. 87 -1 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES APPROVING HEIGHT VARIATION N0, 445 APPEAL THEREBY APPROVING THE PROJECT FOR 2704 SAN RAMON DRIVE WHEREAS, on September 9, 1986, the Planning Commission considered the appeal of staff's decision of denial of Height Variation No. 445 at which time all interested parties were, given an opportunity to be heard and pre- sent evidence and on September 30 adopted Resolution P.C. No. 86 -22 dis- missing the appeal, denying the project; and WHEREAS, on November 18, 1986 , the City Council determined that the appeal, had merit and directed staff to schedule Height Variation No. 445 Appeal for a Hearing; and WHEREAS, on November 18, 1986, the City Council considered and continu- ed the appeal at which time all interested parties were given an opportuni- ty to be heard and present evidence; and WHEREAS, on December 16, 1986, the City Council considered Height Vari- ation No. 445 Appeal and reviewed alternative proposals that were submitted by the applicant at which time all interested parties were given an oppor- tunity to be heard and present. evidence; and WHEREAS , on December 16, 1986, the alternative 'Plan C' as submitted by the the appellants' representative was approved at a 22' ridge. height by the City Council, NOW, THEREFORE , THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES DOES HEREBY FIND, DETERMINE AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: The proposed structure is designed and situated in such a manner as to minimize view obstruction by reducing the original submittal to 22' and locating the addition as shown on 'Plan C'. Section 2: View impairment for the portion of the proposed addition as shown in 'Plan C' over sixteen feet high does not significantly impair the primary view from those properties which were identified as having a view as set forth in the City's Development Code, Section 3: The proposed structure is not located on a ridge or promon- tory. Section 4: The structure does not significantly impair a view or vista from public property (parks, major thoroughfare, bikeways, walkways, eques- trian trails, etc .) which has been identified in the City's general plan, coastal plan, or City approved viewing areas. 706CP /RES 1 .1 Section 5: There is no significant cumulative impact caused by grant- ing the application. Section 6: That after consideration of Height Variation No. 445 Appeal on December 16, 1986, the City Council approved the apOeal and thereby the construction of 'Plan C' for a 22' addition at 2704 San Ramon Drive. PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED on January 6, 1987.
