A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES APPROVING THE
APPLICATION FOR BICYCLE FUNDS UNDER SB 821
AND APPROVING THE ADOPTION OF ITS BICYCLE
PLAN
WHEREAS, SB 821 provides that 2% of each County's total lo-
cal Transportation Fund be annually set aside and used to fund
the development of bicycle and pedestrian facilities; and
WHEREAS, the City of Rancho Palos Verdes has planned a
bikeway system in conformance with specifications of Caltrans'
Planning and Design Criteria for Bikeways in California and the
Regional Transportation Plan; and
WHEREAS, the City of Rancho Palos Verdes desires to con-
struct the master bikeway system within their City utilizing the
funds available under SB 8210
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Rancho Palos
Verdes does resolve as follows:
1. To adopt the Bikeway System in conformance with the
specifications of Caltrans' Planning and Design Criteria for
Bikeways in California and the Regional Transportation Plan,
2. To authorize the Finance Director as the City's
authorized signature and designated contact person; and
3. To apply for all funds available to the City of Rancho
Palos Verdes allocated for Bikeways and Pedestrian
facilities (SB 821)0
