ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING
AUGUST 21, 1993
The meeting was called to order at 9:07 a.m. by Mayor Pro Tem
Kuykendall at the Fred Hesse Community Park building, 29301
Hawthorne Boulevard, notice having been given with affidavit
thereto on file. Following the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag,
roll call was answered as follows:
PRESENT: KUYKENDALL, BACHARACH & McTAGGART
ABSENT: NONE
LATE: BROOKS (arrived 10:07 a.m.)
Also present were City Manager Paul Bussey, Assistant City
Manager Pamela Antil and Transition Management Associates
consultant, Greg Hulsizer.
CEREMONIAL EVENT: NONE
APPROVAL OF AGENDA: Councilman McTaggart moved, seconded by
Councilwoman Bacharach to approve the agenda. Motion carried.
PUBLIC COMMENT: Responding to the Mayor Pro Tem's call for
public comments on agenda and non - agenda items were the following
speakers:
Lois Larue, 3136 Barkentine, requested that the City Council
consider the storm drains and Portuguese Bend landslide as
priority items. Additionally, Ms. Larue commented on the
consultant's cost for the Goals & Objectives Workshop.
REGULAR BUSINESS - CITY GOALS & OBJECTIVES (306)
Mr. Greg Hulsizer representing Transition Management Associates
presented an overview of the City's public input program
including the series of Townhall and Focus Group meetings and
phone survey. The meeting then became an open forum where the
Council members discussed issues and ideas relating to the City's
goals, objectives and priorities for the future.
No action was taken.
ADJOURNMENT:
There being no further business to discuss, the Council
unanimously determined that it was not necessary to meet on
Sunday, August 22, 1993. The meeting was adjourned at
5:45 p.m, on a motion by Mayor Pro Tem Kuykendall.
