CC RES 1991-056RESOLUTION NO. 91 -56 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES ESTABLISHING AND MEMORIALIZING THE CITY MANAGER'S COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS WHEREAS, Paul D. Bussey was appointed City Manager of the City of Rancho Palos Verdes on June 18, 1990, and WHEREAS, the City Council, from time to time, conducts a review of the City Manager's performance, and WHEREAS, such a review took place on July 2, 1991 and the City Council was fully satisfied with the performance of the City Manager, and WHEREAS, due to the City's current limited financial resources, the City Manager and the City Council agree that a salary adjustment would not be in the City's best interests at this time, and WHEREAS, it is nevertheless appropriate to recognize the City Manager's performance in some manner as well as to memorialize the City Manager's existing salary and benefits: NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Manager's salary and benefits shall be as follows: 1. The current housing allowance provided to the City Manager shall be eliminated and added to the City Manager's current salary for a total salary of $85,000 per year. 2. The City Manager shall be entitled to receive credit for 15 days vacation per year to be accrued on the same basis as other City employees. 3. The City shall provide the City Manager with a City owned vehicle for his use. The City shall provide all costs and expenses in connection with the use and operation of said vehicle. 4. The City Manager shall receive all other benefits not inconsistent with this resolution which are provided to Management Employees as described in Resolution No. 91 -48 as such resolution now exists or may be amended or replaced in the future. 5. The City shall pay the City Manager's contribution to the Public Employees Retirement System, 6. The City Manager shall receive such life, health, and other insurance benefits on the same basis as provided other employees of the City. 7. In addition to the above, in recognition of the City Manager's performance and in lieu of any other increase in salary or benefits, an increase of $10,000 in the "Adjusted Purchase Price" (as defined in the Secured Promissory Note dated October 30, 1990), to $520,000, shall be made. The net effect of this action shall entitle the City Manager to the first $10,000 in appreciation of the property, without any equity share with the City, and shall increase his equity share in the "net appreciation" of the property by approximately 0.94 %, to approximately 51.92 %. 8, The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute the attached "Note Modification Agreement" to amend Section 3.a.iii to read: "Adjusted Purchase Price" shall mean the sum of (a) $ plus (b) the aggregate costs of all Initial Work..."
