RESOLUTION NO. 95 -9
A JOINT RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE
COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES APPROVING AND ACCEPTING
NEGOTIATED EXCHANGE OF PROPERTY TAX REVENUE RESULTING
FROM THE TRANSFER OF JURISDICTION OVER COUNTY LIGHTING
MAINTENANCE DISTRICT NO. 1560
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 99 of the Revenue and
Taxation Code, prior to the effective date of any jurisdictional
change the governing bodies of all agencies whose service areas
or service responsibilities would be altered by such change must
determine the amount of property tax revenue to be exchanged
between the affected agencies and approve and accept the nego-
tiated exchange of property tax revenues by resolution, but if
the affected agency is a special district, the Board of
Supervisors must negotiate on behalf of the district; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Los
Angeles and the City Council of the City of Rancho Palos Verdes
have determined that the amount of property tax revenue to be
exchanged as a result of the transfer of jurisdiction over County
Lighting Maintenance District No. 1560 is as set forth below.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY
OF LOS ANGELES, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES DO HEREBY FIND, DETERMINE, RESOLVE
AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1,1, The negotiated exchange of property tax
revenue resulting from the transfer of jurisdiction over County
Lighting Maintenance District No. 1560 from the County to the
City is approved and accepted.
Section 2. Pursuant to Resolution No. 95 -08, upon the
effective date of the transfer of jurisdiction over County
Lighting Maintenance District No. 1560 from the County to the
City, County Lighting Maintenance District No. 1560 shall
thereafter be designated "Rancho Palos Verdes Lighting
Maintenance District."
Section 3. For each fiscal year commencing on and
after July 1, 1995, or after the effective date of this juris-
dictional change, whichever is later, all property tax revenue
received by Rancho Palos Verdes Lighting Maintenance District
(formerly County Lighting Maintenance District No. 1560) shall be
transferred to the City of Rancho Palos Verdes. -

Section 4. No additional transfer of ro ert tax

revenues shall be made to or from any other taxing agency(ies) as
a result of this jurisdictional change.
PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED this 17th day of January,
