CC RES 2004-053RESOLUTION NO. 2004-53 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 2004-45, THE BUDGET APPROPRIATION FOR FISCAL YEAR 04 -05, FOR A BUDGET ADJUSTMENT TO THE CITY'S GENERAL FUND. WHEREAS, Section 3.32 of the Rancho Palos Verdes Municipal Code provides that all expenditures in excess of budgeted allocations must be by supplemental appropriation of the City Council; and WHEREAS, on June 1, 2004 the City Council of the City of Rancho Palos Verdes adopted Resolution No. 2004 -45, approving a spending plan and authorizing a budget appropriation for the 2004 -2005 fiscal year, which included funds for the City's Public Education Channel, RPV Channel 33; and WHEREAS, at the June 15, 2004 meeting, Mayor Peter Gardiner requested that the funding for the RPV Channel 33 program be increased to include memberships in the National Association of Television Officers and Advisors ( NATOA) and the States of California and Nevada Television Officers and Advisors, a subsidiary of NATOA (SCAN NATOA); and WHEREAS, at the June 15, 2004 meeting, the City Council authorized the increase for memberships and dues; and, WHEREAS, the City Council desires that the FY 04 -05 General Fund budget be increased by $500 from the General Fund Reserve to assure budgetary compliance BE IT, THEREFORE, RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES: Section 1: The City Council finds that increasing funding for membership in NATOA and SCAN - NATOA in FY 04 -05 will allow the RPV Channel 33 program to more effectively serve the community. Section 2: The following increase be made to the fiscal year 2004 -2005 General Fund budget: General Fund: RPV TV Channel 33 Membership &Dues #001 - 106.72 $500 PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED this 15ffi day of June 2004.
