(15 mins) 8. Extension to Terms of Office for the Finance Advisory Committee, Traffic Safety
Commission, and Emergency Preparedness Committee (Morreale)
Recommendation: Consider the extension of the terms of office for the
following Committee /Commission Members to December 2012: 1) Finance
Advisory Committee Members Carina Coleman, Dave Emenhiser, and Bill
James; 2) Traffic Safety Commission Members Bryan Klatt, David Kramer, and
Stanislav Parfenov; and, 3) Determine which three Emergency Preparedness
Committee Members' terms of office should be extended to December 2012.
(30 mins) 9. Contract Addendum No. 6 for the Marymount College Facilities Expansion
Project Environmental Impact Report (Mihranian)
Recommendation: Approve Contract Addendum No. 6 to the Agreement for
Consulting Services between the City of Rancho Palos Verdes and RBF
Consulting (RBF) for the preparation of additional California Environmental
Quality Act (CEQA) analysis for the Marymount College Facilities Expansion
Project, in the amount of $107,813.
(2 hours) 10. Select a Residential Solid Waste Provider for Service Area 1 (Ramezani)
Recommendation: 1) Select Athens Services (Arakelian Enterprises, Inc.) as
the City's designated residential solid waste provider for Service Area 1
commencing July 1, 2010; and, 2) Approve an annual $85,000 Contract
Administration Fee within the rate structure to cover any unanticipated
extraordinary rate adjustment requests, and contract administration costs or legal
reviews related to the Athens Services agreement.
(10 mins) 11. LAX Community Noise Roundtable Update (Beverly Ackerson)
Recommendation: Authorize the Mayor to send a letter to the LAX Community
Noise Roundtable regarding recent increases in nighttime aircraft noise over the
Peninsula.
