2. Approval of the Minutes (Morreale)
Recommendation: Approve the Minutes of the March 3, 2009 Regular Meeting;
March 17, 2009 Regular Meeting; and the March 21, 2009 Regular Meeting.
3. Border Issues Status Report (Fox)
Recommendation: Receive and file the current report on the status of border
issues.
4. Contract for Citywide Fuel Modification — FY08 -09 (Motahari /Murphy)
Recommendation: Award a sole- source, negotiated contract with Ranchito Tivo
Boer Goats in the amount of $116,000 and authorize the expenditure of up to
$17,400 as a project contingency (15 %), for a total of $133,400 to perform brush
clearance for approximately half of the areas designated by the Los Angeles
County Fire Department.
5. FY09 -10 Advisory Board Work Plans and Purpose and Scope of Responsibilities
and Process of the Oversight Committee (Gyves)
Recommendation: 1) Approve the FY09 -10 Work Plans for the Emergency
Preparedness Committee, Finance Advisory Committee, and Traffic Safety
Commission; and, 2) ADOPT RESOLUTION NO. 2009 -_, A RESOLUTION OF
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES, TO
ESTABLISH THE PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES AND
PROCESS OF THE OVERSIGHT COMMITTEE FOR THE WATER QUALITY
AND FLOOD PROTECTION PROGRAM.
6. Extension to Lease Agreement with Verizon Wireless Associated with the
Monopole at City Hall (Petru)
Recommendation: Approve the Fourth Amendment to the Lease Agreement
with Verizon Wireless to extend the term of the agreement to June 30, 2010.
7. January 2009 Monthly Report of Cash Balances (McLean)
Recommendation: Receive and file the January 2009 Monthly Report of Cash
Balances for the City of Rancho Palos Verdes.
8. February 2009 Monthly Report of Cash Balances (McLean)
Recommendation: Receive and file the February 2009 Monthly Report of Cash
Balances for the City of Rancho Palos Verdes.
9. Register of Demands (McLean)
Recommendation: ADOPT RESOLUTION NO. 2009 -_, A RESOLUTION OF

Recommendation: Continue the public hearing to the June 16, 2009 City
Council meeting, when it is anticipated that there will be four Council Members
present, to consider the Planning Commission's recommendation on the
proposed Code Amendment.

General Plan Amendment and Zone Change for Property Located at 28103

Recommendation: Continue the public hearing to the June 16, 2009 City
Council meeting, when it is anticipated that there will be four Council Members

population.

Recommendation: Provide direction to staff on whether to initiate a Code
Amendment to allow small wind energy systems in Residential Zones through a
discretionary review and approval process.

Proposals (RFP) for Service Area 1 (Ramezani)
Recommendation: 1) Review the attached Request for Proposal (RFP) and
draft agreement for Service Area 1; and, 2) Authorize staff to finalize the RFP
and draft agreement, and then circulate them for competitive proposals for
Service Area 1.
