RDA MINS 19970603MINUTES RANCHO PALOS VERDES REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY REGULAR MEETING JUNE 39 1997 The meeting was called to order at 8:50 P.M. by Chairman McTaggart. PRESENT: Hollingsworth, Ferraro, Byrd, Lyon and Chairman McTaggart ABSENT: None Also present were Agency Executive Director Paul Bussey; Agency Attorney Carol Lynch; Public Works Director Les Evans; Finance Director Dennis McLean; Planning, Building and Code Enforcement Director Carolynn, Agency Secretary City Clerk Jo Purcell, and Recording Secretary Bernice Coyle. APPROVAL OF AGENDA: Member Byrd moved, seconded by Member Ferraro to approve the agenda as submitted. Motion carried. APPROVAL OF CONSENT CALENDAR: Lois Larue, 3136 Barkentine Road commented in opposition to the Service Agreement with Charles Abbott Associates. MINUTES (301X 1900) Approved the Minutes of May 6, 1997. Award of Professional Services Contract for GPS Monitoring to Charles Abbott Associates (1204 X 1900) Approved a Professional Services Agreement with Charles Abbott Associates in the amount of $36,500 for GPS Monitoring Services and Authorized the Agency Chair and Secretary to execute said agreement. Agreement with Palos Verdes Land Holding Company for Reimbursement of GPS Monitoring Costs (1204 X 1900) Approved the agreement with Palos Verdes Land Holding Company for reimbursement of the costs associated with GPS Monitoring on their property in Portuguese Bend. Resolution No. RDA 97 -08 - Register of Demands (602 X 1900) Adopted Resolution No. RDA 97 -08. The motion to approve the Consent Calendar carried on the following roll call vote. AYES: Hollingsworth, Byrd, Ferraro, Lyon and Chair McTaggart. NOES: None AUDIENCE COMMENTS: Jeannette Mucha, 5538 Littlebow Road, Rancho Palos Verdes, President of the Rancho Palos Verdes Council of Homeowners Association presented 822 letters in opposition to the proposal to allow new development in Zone 2 located in the landslide area, and opposed the altering of the moratorium. Don Fraser, 26 Peppertree, Rancho Palos Verdes, expressed his opposition to the development in Zone 2. Lois Larue, 3136 Barkentine Road, expressed her opposition to the development in Zone 2.
