APPROVAL OF THE CONSENT CALENDAR
Kathy Snell, 8 Vanderlip, reiterated her opposition to the manner in which the Horan
funds are spent. In particular she objected to payment of the $800,000 for the repair of
Palos Verdes Drive South.
Mr. Bussey explained that payment for repair of PV Dr. South was an advance against
the County issued bonds requested by the RDA for that project which was
recommended as a high priority by the Panel of Experts.
It was the consensus that the expenditure of the Horan funds should be scheduled for a
future agenda.
Member McTaggart moved, seconded by Member Ferraro to approve the Consent

Kathy Snell, spoke again about the use of the Horan funds and also voiced her protest

of the utility poles.
Jack Downhill, 20 Vanderlip Drive, inquired whether the matter of returning the valance
of the Horan settlement money to the County had ever been discussed with County
representatives as a consideration for reducing the liens on homes in the landslide

Mr. Bussey responded that this suggestion had been discussed with the County but
that there was some question about the legality of doing that.
