RDA MINS 19960716 ADJ MINUTES ADJOURNED MEETING RANCHO PALOS VERDES REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY JULY 16, 1996 The meeting was called to order by Chairwoman Marilyn Lyon at 8:50 P.M. at the Hesse Park Community Center, 29301 Hawthorne Blvd. Roll call was answered as follows: PRESENT: McTaggart, Byrd, Ferraro, Hollingsworth and Mayor Lyon ABSENT: None Also present were Executive Director Paul Bussey, Assistant Executive Director Brent Mattingly, Planning, Building & Code Enforcement Director Carolynn Petru, Senior Planner Joel Rojas, Public Works Director Les Evans, Agency Attorney Carol Lynch and Agency Secretary Jo Purcell. APPROVAL OF AGENDA: Member Byrd moved, seconded by Member McTaggart to approve the agenda as presented. Motion carried. Kathy Snell, spoke against taking money out of the Horan settlement funds to spend on the reconnaissance study and for the monitoring of wells. Executive Director Bussey explained how the costs for this study are split between Portuguese Bend and Abalone Cove. APPROVAL OF CONSENT CALENDAR Member Byrd moved, seconded by Member McTaggart, to approve the Consent Calendar as follows: Minutes (301 X 1900) Approved the Minutes of June 3, 4 and June 18, 1996. RESOLUTION NO. RDA 96-14 - Register of Demands (602 X 1900) Adopted Resol. No. RDA 96-14 -A Resolution of the Rancho Palos Verdes Redevelopment Agency Allowing Certain Claims and Demands and Specifying Funds From Which the Same are to be Paid. # # # # # AUDIENCE COMMENTS: Roy Good, 15 Cinnamon Lane, spoke regarding commercialization of horse boarding and how that would affect property value. Lois Larue, 3136 Barkentine, voiced her concern about the Board getting independent technical information about the landslide. Kathy Snell, 8 Vanderlip Drive, spoke about the use of the Horan money for the proposed sewers. Adjournment: On motion of Member McTaggart, the meeting adjourned at 9:00 P.M.
