RANCHO PALOS VERDES REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
REGULAR MEETING
OCTOBER 7, 2008
The meeting was called to order at 6:00 P.M. by Chair Stern at Fred Hesse Community
Park, 29301 Hawthorne Boulevard and was immediately recessed into Closed Session.
The Redevelopment Agency meeting was recessed at 6:57 P.M. and reconvened for
Regular Session at 9:53 P.M.
Redevelopment Agency roll call was answered as follows:
PRESENT: Clark, Gardiner, Long, Wolowicz, and Chair Stern
ABSENT: None
Also present were Executive Director Carolyn Lehr, Agency Attorney Carol Lynch,
Assistant Executive Director Carolynn Petru, Director of Finance/IT Dennis McLean,
and Agency Secretary Carla Morreale.
APPROVAL OF AGENDA:
Member Long moved, seconded by Member Wolowicz, to approve the Agenda as
submitted.
Without objection, Chair Stern so ordered.
APPROVAL OF CONSENT CALENDAR:
Member Long moved, seconded by Member Wolowicz, to approve the Consent
Calendar.
The motion carried on the following roll call vote:
AYES: Clark, Gardiner, Long, Wolowicz, and Chair Stern
NOES: None
ABSTAIN: None
ABSENT: None
July 2008 Monthly Report of Cash Balances (1900)
Received and filed the July 2008 Monthly Report of Cash Balances for the Rancho
Palos Verdes Redevelopment Agency.

PUBLIC COMMENTS:
None.
CLOSED SESSION REPORT:
City Attorney/Agency Attorney Lynch reported on the discussion of the following two
items in Closed Session: '1) the decision received from the Court of Appeals regarding
the Monks vs. the City of Rancho Palos Verdes case, where the Court reversed the
decision of the Trial Court that had been in favor of the City and the City Council voted
unanimously, with all members present, to authorize the filing of a Motion for
Reconsideration with the Court of Appeal and a Petition for Review with the California
Supreme Court; and, 2) the City Council/Redevelopment Agency voted unanimously,
with all members present, to direct the City Attorney/Agency Attorney to send a letter to
Ms. Andrea Joannou advising that there would be no further negotiations regarding an
easement on the Redevelopment Agency property at this time due to the decision on
the Monks case.
ADJOURNMENT:
Member Long moved, seconded by Chair Stern, to adjourn. Chair Stern adjourned the
Redevelopment Agency meeting at 9:54 P.M.
