CC RES 2010-026 RESOLUTION NO. 2010-26 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES ACCEPTING THE TRANSFER OF SURPLUS REAL PROPERTY AT ROBERT E. RYAN PARK FOR PUBLIC PARK PURPOSES FROM THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES. WHEREAS, it was recently determined that a section of the entrance driveway and adjacent landscaped at of Robert E. Ryan Park(30359 Hawthorne Boulevard)still belongs to the County of Los Angeles; and, WHEREAS, on March 30, 2010, the County Board of Supervisors approved the conveyance of 3,551 square feet of County real property to the City of Rancho Palos Verdes for use as a public driveway entrance for Robert E. Ryan Park. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES DOES HEREBY FIND, DETERMINE, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: That the transfer of the County-owned property, as depicted on the attached legal description and map, incorporated hereto as Exhibits"A"and "B,"would be consistent with and preserve the existing public recreational use of Robert E. Ryan Park. Section 2: That the transfer of the surplus County property in order to preserve lands for park purposes is Categorically Exempt under Section 15325 of the California Environmental Quality Act. Section 3: That the City Council of the City of Rancho Palos Verdes hereby accepts the transfer of the surplus real property and directs that City Manager and City Clerk to execute and transmit a Certificate of Acceptance associated with the transfer to the Council of Los Angeles.
