On behalf of the City Council of Rancho Palos Verdes, I am pleased to extend an offer of
temporary employment as Interim City Manager at the rate of $110 per hour. Your exact
working hours will be determined by mutual agreement with the City Council, but will include
attending City Council meetings and maintaining regularly scheduled office hours as needed to
manage the City's business. In addition to the hourly rate, you are eligible to receive a lodging
per-diem of up to $100 based upon your expense receipts, and reimbursement of$0.445/mile
for the use of your private vehicle on City Business.
This position is part-time and temporary with the following benefits deducted from your
paycheck: Federal and State taxes, Medicare, and Social Security Contributions. You are not
eligible to participate in the CaIPERS program.
Should you accept the position, your effective start date will be January 4, 2007. The City
anticipates appointing a full-time permanent City Manager within the next few months; however,
the City may require your services for up to 1,000 hours.
