BACKGROUND AND DISCUSSION:
Pursuant to Section 5 (Annual Work Plan) of Resolution No. 2008-61, the EPC and City
Staff liaison shall prepare an annual work plan to be presented to the City Council for
approval. On June 6, 2017, the City Council approved the FY17-18 EPC work plan.
Subsequently, the City Council requested that each City advisory committee/
commission's work plan include the Portuguese Bend Land Flow. In addition, City
Council requested that the EPC add active shooter publicity material to their "Beauty
and the Beast" and "Be More Prepared" presentations.
The amended work plan (Attachment A) now states: "Receive and review information
regarding the City's Portuguese Bend Land Flow project and Incorporate and promote
an active shooter element into their `Beauty and the Beast' and `Be More Prepared'
presentations."
ALTERNATIVES:
In addition to the Staff recommendation, the following alternative actions are available
for the City Council's consideration:
1
1. Modify the proposed EPC work plan or request that the EPC make
revisions to it for resubmittal at a future date.
2. Take other action as deemed appropriate by the City Council.
