BACKGROUND AND DISCUSSION:
On January 3, 2017, recruitment began for three (3) open seats on the City's Traffic
Safety Committee (TSC). The recruitment was advertised and posted according to City
Council Policy No. 6, with the recruitment period ending January 27, 2017. The City
received a total of thirteen (13) applications from residents interested in serving on the
TSC.
The first group of candidates was interviewed by the City Council on February 7, 2017.
Earlier this evening (February 21, 2017), the City Council interviewed the remaining
candidates.
Staff has prepared and will distribute a ballot listing all candidates for the TSC at
tonight's City Council meeting.
