Dear Ms.Vaish:
I am writing in reference to the Chandler Preserve year five monitoring report dated
March 14,2007. The mitigation site provides 0.26 acre of compensation for impacts.to Waters.of
the United States associated with the City of Rancho Palos VerdeS'San.Ramon.Storm Drain
and Landslide Stabilization.project(20014329-KW).
Based on the March 14,.2007 mitigation:report;my September 24 2Q07 mitigation site
visit with'Ms:Amy Mattson:Of Helix Environinetit41,Planning,Inc,;and thesubsequent
memorandum dated January 29,2008,1:.conclude that.the Chandler Preserve mitigation site
has met the year fivesuccess criteria for native species percent:OVer(90%);non-native species
percent cover(lOss.than10%);and giant reed percent cover(0%). Therefore,the City of Rancho
Palos Verdes is released from further maintenance and monitoring responsibilities for the
subject mitigation site.
