This is in regards to your letter dated December 16, 2005 regarding "Notice of Intention
to Grant Franchise" to Southern California Gas Company along, across, and upon all
public highways and streets within the City. Please note that State Route 213 (Western
Avenue) traverses the City of Rancho Palos Verdes (RPV). Any and all work within the
State Highway is under the jurisdiction of the State and must be covered by appropriate
agreements and approvals from the State and should not but subject to the franchise
agreement.
We have forwarded your letter to our Right of Way Department for further review and
comment and anticipate providing additional information by January 27, 2006. Should
