Subject: AT&T Wireless Facility on the
Rancho Pates Verdes Civic Center Monopole
Dear Mr. Woodson:
On November 7, 2001, the City Council took the following actions:
1. Directed staff to work with SpectraSite Communications to develop
alternatives to improve the aesthetics of the monopole, without degrading
telecommunication service to the community.
2. Authorized staff to spend up to $3,000, if necessary, to retain a consultant
to analyze the alternatives proposed by SpectraSite Communications.
3. Denied AT&T's request to file a Conditional Use Permit application to
modify their existing equipment on the monopole until the overall review of
the facility is completed.
