PC RES 1987-035RESOLUTION P.C. NO. 87 - 35 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES APPROVING CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT NO. 124. WHEREAS, the YMCA and Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District has made application to allow an existing day care facility at 5500 Ironwood, Silver Spur Elementary School; and WHEREAS, after a public hearing was held on July 28, 1987, at which time all interested parties were given an opportunity to be heard and present evidence. NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES DOES HEREBY FIND, DETERMINE AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: Section I: That the site is adequate in size and shape to accommodate the proposed uses if on-site parking space designations are provided; Section 2: That the site for the proposed use relates to Ironwood Street and Basswood Street, which are properly designed to carry the type and quantity of traffic generated by the subject use; Section 3: That there will be no adverse effects upon adjacent properties or the permitted use thereof; Section 4: That the proposed uses are not contrary to the General Plan. Section 5: For the foregoing reasons, the Planning Commission of the City of Rancho Palos Verdes hereby approves Conditional Use Permit No. 124, subject to conditions contained in Exhibit A, attached hereto and made a part hereof which are deemed necessary to protect the public health, safety and general welfare in the area. No. 87 - 35 Page 1 EXHIBIT "A" 1. All necessary permits from the State Department of Social Services must be obtained and copies submitted to the Director of Environmental Services. 2. A City business license must be obtained. 3. Proof of compliance with State Fire Marshall standards must be obtained and copies submitted to the Director of Environmental Services. 4. One on-site parking space, designated with signage, must be provided for each YMCA employee. 5. An on-site loading/unloading area must be provided. 6. Any proposal to add or expand trailers or other buildings requires Planning Commission review. 7. Lighting shall be limited to one - 60 watt exterior fixture on the west side of the building below the eave line only. Lighting shall be shut off when all activities on the site cease or 9:00 p.m. at the latest. 8. The exterior of the portable building and other facilities shall be maintained in a neat and clean manner at all times. 9. No signage is allowed with this approval. 10. The hours of operation shall be 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. 11. This approval may be revoked by the Director of Environmental Services should any of the above conditions not be carried out in a good faith manner. Resolution P.C.
