A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES APPROVING THE APPEAL
OF HEIGHT VARIATION NO. 470 THEREBY DENYING THE
PROJECT AT 3936 ADMIRABLE DRIVE
WHEREAS, the Director of Environmental Services approved Height Varia-
tion No 470 for a second story addition located at 3936 Admirable Drive;
and
WHEREAS, on December 17, 1986, Mr. Lyle Quatrochi, et. al. filed an
appeal with the Planning Commission within 15 days of the decision of the
Director of Environmental Services; and
WHEREAS, on February 10, 1987, the Planning Commission heard the appeal
at which time all interested parties were given an opportunity to be heard
and present evidence.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF RANCHO PALOS
VERDES DOES HEREBY FIND, DETERMINE AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: That the proposed structure is not designed and situated in
such a manner as to minimize view obstruction since there are other design
options to lower the height of the proposed addition.
Section 2: That any view impairment for the portion of the proposed
addition over sixteen feet high does significantly impair the primary view from
the four properties north of the subject parcel which were identified as
having a view over the subject parcel as set forth in the City's Development
Code.
Section 3: That there is significant cumulative impact caused by
granting the application.
Section 4: That after consideration of the appeal of Height Variation
No. 470 on February 10, 1987, the Planning Commission approved the appeal and
thereby denied the project at 3936 Admirable Drive.
PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED on February 24, 1987.
