A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF RANCHO
PALOS VERDES RECOMMENDING ADOPTION OF CODE AMENDMENT
NO. 22, REVISING SECTION 17.34.060(B) OF THE
DEVELOPMENT CODE AND APPROVING FINAL
NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR
ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT NO. 479
WHEREAS, a revision to Section 17.34.060(B) of the Development Code to
allow residences partially or totally within the Coastal Setback Zone to qualify
for one minor addition has been proposed; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a public hearing on this matter
on October 22, 1985 at which time all interested parties were given an opportunity
to be heard and present evidence.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES
DOES HEREBY RECOMMEND TO THE CITY COUNCIL AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: That this revision is necessary to correct and clarify the
language of the Code.
Section 2: That the proposed revision is consistent with the General Plan
and the Coastal Specific Plan.
Section 3: That an Initial Study has been prepared and it has been deter-
mined that there are no significant environmental effects associated with this re-
vision.
Section 4: For the foregoing reasons, the Planning Commission of the City
of Rancho Palos Verdes hereby recommends approval of Code Amendment No. 22 pursuant
to Exhibit "A" attached hereto, and approves the final Negative Declaration for
Environmental Assessment No. 479.
