A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES APPROVING
VARIANCE NO. 70
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Schaefer have requested a variance to allow a
recently constructed rear yard deck that encroaches six (6) feet into the re-
quired fifteen (15) foot rear setback at 30523 Cartier Drive, Rancho Palos
Verdes; and
WHEREAS, after notice pursuant to the City's Development Code, a
public hearing was held on August 25, 1981, at which time all interested
parties were given an opportunity to be heard and present evidence.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF RANCHO PALOS
VERDES DOES HEREBY FIND, DETERMINE AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: That an administrative error occurred in the issuance of
building permits for the rear yard deck and said construction is not detrimen-
tal to the public welfare.
Section 2: For the foregoing reasons, the Planning Commission of the
City of Rancho Palos Verdes hereby grants approval of Variance No. 70 subject
to Exhibit "A".

EXHIBIT "A"
VARIANCE NO. 70 IS APPROVED SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS:
1. A landscape plan of the proposed screen planting to minimize they
visual impact of the deck be submitted to the Environmental Ser-
vices Department for review within fifteen (15) days of approval.
