A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES RECOMMENDING TO THE
CITY COUNCIL GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT NO. 9,
AMENDING THE HOUSING ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN
WHEREAS, the City has initiated General Plan Amendment No. 9; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has held a public hearing on this
matter on August 11, 1981, at which time all interested parties were given
an opportunity to be heard and present evidence.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF RANCHO PALOS
VERDES DOES HEREBY RECOMMEND TO THE CITY COUNCIL AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: The Planning Commission has reviewed and considered the
contents of the initial study and Negative Declaration for Environmental
Assessment No. 415 in reaching its decision to recommend approval of said
General Plan Amendment.
Section 2: The Planning Commission finds that the General Plan
Amendment No. 9 is necessary to comply with State law and is consistent
with the General Plan.
Section 3: The Planning Commission of the City of Rancho Palos
Verdes hereby recommends approval of General Plan Amendment No. 9, which
amends the Housing Element of the General Plan to further encourage the
development of housing in a manner which adequately serves the needs of
all present and future community residents and to comply with State law.
APPROVED and ADOPTED this 11th day of August, 1981.
