NO. 78-46 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES GRANTING A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR THE LIGHTING OF DRIVEWAYS AND A PARKING LOT LOCATED ON THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF CREST ROAD AND CRENSHAW BOULE- VARD WHEREAS, St. John Fisher Church has requested a conditional use permit for the establishment of ten (10) new parking lot and seven (7) driveway lights for the nighttime illumination of those areas; and WHEREAS, after notice issued pursuant to the provisions of the City's Develop— ment Code, a public hearing was held on October 12, 1978, at which time all interested parties were given an opportunity to be heard and to present evidence. NOW, THEREFORE, the Planning Commission of the City of Rancho Palos Verdes does hereby find, determine, and resolve as follows: Section 1: That said lights are permitted in any district subject to the approval of a conditional use permit. Section 2: That the parking lot already exists and that the site is adequate in size to accommodate such a use. Section 3: That the site is served by Crest Road and Crenshaw Boulevard. Ac- cess for the site is taken from both rights of way. Section 4: That the approved lights are compatible with the surrounding uses and no significant adverse effects to adjacent properties will result since mitigation measures are required as conditions of approval. Section 5: That the subject use is not contrary to the General Plan. Section 6: For the foregoing reasons, the Planning Commission of the City of Rancho Palos Verdes hereby grants a conditional use permit for the use described herein subject to the conditions found in Exhibit "A" of this resolution, which are necessary to protect the public health, safety, and general welfare in the area. That elimination of direct viewing of the proposed fixtures and off-site illumina- tion be reduced through alignment of the fixtures. The Director of Planning shall be notified within thirty (30) days of implementing this measure for inspection purposes. 2. That on the Crenshaw Boulevard driveway the ingress and egress lights shall be located on the south side. 3. That a lighting/timing schedule be submitted for the lights which shall be sub- ject to approval by the Director of Planning. Resolution P;C. No. 78-46
