A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES CONFIRMING THE ORDER
OF ANNEXATION OF THE EASTVIEW AREA OF THE UN-
INCORPORATED AREA OF LOS ANGELES COUNTY TO
THE CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES, DESCRIBING
THE EXTERIOR BOUNDARIES OF THE EASTVIEW AREA
AND CITING ALL TERMS AND/OR CONDITIONS IMPOSED
UPON SAID ANNEXATION.
WHEREAS: The Los Angeles County Local Agency Formation Commission ("LAFCO")
adopted Resolution C-1979-44, which directed the City Council of the City of
Rancho Palos Verdes to initiate and conduct annexation proceedings in compliance
with said Resolution; and
WHEREAS: In accordance with the California State Code covering annexation
proceedings, the City of Rancho Palos Verdes has caused a special election to
be held on November 6th, 1979, in the Eastview area to determine if said Eastview
area should be annexed to the City of Rancho Palos Verdes pursuant to the pro-
visions of Section 35228 of the Government Code; and
WHEREAS: The results of the special election held on November 6th, 1979,
in the Eastview area have determined that said Eastview area shall be annexed to
and become part of the City of Rancho Palos Verdes.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES, DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That as a result of the special election held on November 6th,
1979, in the Eastview area of the unincorporated area of Los Angeles County, in
which the majority of votes cast were in favor of annexation, said Eastview area
shall be annexed to and become part of the City of Rancho Palos Verdes.
SECTION 2. That a detailed description of the Eastview area shall be con-
tained in "Exhibit A," attached.
SECTION 3. That the annexation of the Eastview area to the City of Rancho
Palos Verdes shall be accomplished without the imposition of any terms or con-
ditions.
SECTION 4. That the City Clerk of the City of Rancho Palos Verdes is hereby
directed to transmit nine (9) certified copies of this Resolution, together with
the correct State Board of Equalization filing fees, to the Los Angeles County
Local Agency Formation Commission ("LAFCO")

NOW, THEREFORE, the Local A gency Formation Commission of the County
of Los Angeles DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER as follows:
SECTION 1. The Commission finds that the subject proposal will not have
a significant adverse effect on the environment as indicated in the negative
declaration and initial study prepared for the proposal, and approves said negative
declaration. The Commission further finds that:
(a) The affected area is substantially developed so that no further
significant development can occur in the area. -
(b) There will be no significant changes in the existing land uses
and zoning in the affected area because the area is substantially developed d with.
existing uses.
(c) There will be no significant changes in the police and fire services
provides to the affected area because the existing services will be continued and
sufficient police and fire stations, and other facilities, already exist.
(d) There will be no changes in the utilit y services provided to the
affected area because the existing services will be continued and all necessary
facilities have already been installed. . .
(e) Since the affected area is fully developed with existin g streets,
it is not deemed feasible to construct new streets and no changes in traffic patterns
will result. .
SECTION 2. Subject to the terms and conditions hereinafter specified, said
resolution is approved.
SECTION 3. The boundaries of the territory proposed to be annexed, as
modified and approved by this Commission, are set forth in Exhibit "A," attache

SECTION 4. Any resolution ordering such annexation shall provide that such
annexation shall be made subject to the following specified terms and conditions:

SECTION 5. The City Council of the City of Rancho Palos Verdes is hereby
directed to initiate annexation proceedings in compliance with this resolution, no
later than 35 days from the date of this resolution.
SECTION 6. The Executive Officer is authorized and directed to mail
certified copies of this resolution in the manner and as provided in'Section 35159 of
the Government Code.
