AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES TO REVISE
THE CITY'S OFFICIAL DIGITIZED ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF RANCHO
PALOS VERDES TO CORRECT AN ERRONEOUS ZONING DISTRICT
BOUNDARY LINE.
WHEREAS, on November 1, 2011, the City Council adopted Ordinance No. 528,
accepting the updated digitized Zoning Map as the City's Official Zoning Map; and
WHEREAS, on December 2, 2011, the updated digitized Official Zoning Map went into
effect; and
WHEREAS, after its adoption, City Staff ascertained that the City's updated digitized
Official Zoning Map incorrectly designated an area within the Portuguese Bend Community as
rs -2 so that the zoning of the affected area does not match the original 1986 Zoning Map, which
designated the area as rs -1. Accordingly, an additional revision to the Official Zoning map is
necessary to adjust the zoning district boundary line to its original correct location and correct
the zoning designation; and
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES
DOES HEREBY FIND, DETERMINE, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: The Official digitized Zoning Map, as previously adopted by Ordinance No.
528, shall be corrected to adjust the zoning district boundary line in the Portuguese Bend area
so that City's Official Zoning Map correctly identifies this area as "rs -1" rather than "rs -2."
SECTION 2: The revised digitized Zoning Map as set forth in Exhibit `A' hereto shall be the
Official Zoning Map of the City of Rancho Palos Verdes.
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED this 4th day of December 2012.
