ORD 304 ORDINANCE NO. 304
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES ADOPTING
AN AMENDMENT TO TITLE 2 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE REGARDING THE
MEETING DATES FOR THE PLANNING COMMISSION AND THE VIEW
RESTORATION COMMISSION, AND CHANGING THE NAME OF THE VIEW
RESTORATION COMMITTEE TO THE VIEW RESTORATION COMMISSION
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Rancho Palos Verdes
has determined that some clarification is needed relative to the
dates of Planning Commission meetings; and
WHEREAS, the City Council on June 30, 19 9 4 changed the name of
the View Restoration Committee to View Restoration Commission; and
WHEREAS, the View Restoration Commission has established a
regular meeting schedule which must now be codified in the
Municipal Code.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Rancho Palos
Verdes does hereby ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. Title 2, Chapter 2.20, Section 2 .20. 040 is
amended to read: "Regular meetings of the Planning Commission
shall be held at the hour of seven P.M. on the second and fourth
Tuesdays of each calendar month except as follows:
A. When a statewide or municipal election is conducted in
the City on the second or fourth Tuesday of any month, the Planning
Commission meeting shall be held on the next succeeding day which
is not a holiday.
B. When an official City holiday falls on the second or
fourth Tuesday of any month, the meeting shall be held on the next
succeeding day which is not a holiday.
SECTION 2. Title 2, Chapter 2 .21 is amended to read:
"View Restoration Commission. "
SECTION 3 . Title 2, Chapter 2 .21 is amended by adding
Section 2 .21. 030 Regular Meetings to read: "Regular meetings of
the View Restoration Commission shall be held on the first and
third Thursdays of each calendar month; provided, however, that if
the regular meeting date falls upon a holiday, the meeting shall be
held on the next succeeding day which is not a holiday.
