AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES RELOCATING
I/ THE COASTAL SETBACK LINE FROM ITS CURRENT POSITION TO THE
TOP OF THE BLUFF (APPROXIMATELY 40 FEET SEAWARD FROM THE
REAR OF THE EXISTING HOUSE) AT 16 SEACOVE DRIVE AND AMENDING
THE RANCHO PALOS VERDES MUNICIPAL CODE (ZONE CHANGE NO. 23)
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES, DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, on October 18, 1994, the City Council of the City
of Rancho Palos Verdes held a public hearing to take testimony on
the request from Mr. Greg Gawlik, owner of the property located
at 16 Seacove Drive, to relocate the Coastal Setback Line from
its current position to the top of the bluff (approximately 40
feet seaward from the rear of the existing house) ; and,
WHEREAS, after due consideration and hearing all public
testimony, the City Council of the City of Rancho Palos Verdes
approved the preparation of an Ordinance to memorialize this
change to the Coastal Setback Line.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Rancho Palos
Verdes does hereby ordain as follows:
Section 1: That the current position of the Coastal
Setback Line on the property located at 16 Seacove Drive, is
hereby relocated to the top of the bluff, as is more specifically
described in Exhibit "A"; and,
Section 2: The Official Zoning Map of the City of Rancho
Palos Verdes, as adopted by Section 17.72. 020 of the Rancho Palos
Verdes Municipal Code, is hereby amended by having noted thereon
the following information: "On December 6, 1994, by Ordinance No.
303 the following change was made on the Official Zoning Map: the
Coastal Setback Line is hereby relocated to the top of the bluff
(as referenced above) on the subject lot at 16 Seacove Drive. "
Section 3: The City Clerk is directed to enter the date
of adoption in Section 2 herein above.
PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED ON THIS 29th DAY OF NOVEMBER,
1994.

Starting at the north-west corner of the lot, thence south
16°46 '45"west a distance of 263 '-0". Commencing from that point,
the Coastal Setback Line proceeds east, along the top of the
slope, to the eastern property line (south 16°44 ' 15"east) at a
distance of 270 '-0" south of the north-east corner of the lot.
