ORD 236 ORDINANCE NO. 236
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RANCHO PALOS VERDES
APPROVING ZONE CHANGE NO. 15 .
WHEREAS, the City has, at the request of the property owner,
initiated Zone Change No. 15 to change the zoning designation from
RS-5 ( residential single family/5 units per acre) to CL
(Commercial Limited) ; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has held public hearings on
this matter on August 11 , August 25, and September 8 , 1987, and
has recommended approval in P.C. Resolution 87 - 54; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has held public hearings on this
matter on October 20, 1987 , January 14, February 16 , and March 1 ,
March 15 , June 21, July 5, July 19, and August 16 , 1988, at which
time all interested parties were given an opportunity to be heard
and present evidence.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO PALOS
VERDES DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: The City Council has reviewed and considered the
Initial Study for Environmental Assessment No. 512 in reaching its
decision to approve this zone change, and has determined that this
zone change would not create any significant adverse environmental
impacts. Therefore, on October 20 , 1987, issuance of a Negative
Declaration was approved.
Section 2 : The City Council finds that this zone change is
consistent with and implements the General Plan, as amended.
Section 3: The City Council of the City of Rancho Palos
Verdes hereby approves Zone Change No. 15 changing the official
zoning designation of 28041 Hawthorne Boulevard from RS-5
(residential single family/5 units per acre) to CL (commercial
limited) , amending the Official Zoning Map, and directs the City
Clerk to cause said change to be made to the Official Zoning Map.
